Retailers Offering Refunds for Outdated HD DVD Purchases

April 16, 2008 – 4:32 am

Good news for many consumers who bought High Definition DVD players before Blu Ray became the standard in video technology.

Three major retailers are now reaching out to those with outdated players by offering refunds and gift cards.

In February, Toshiba threw in the towel in the High Definition format war against Blu Ray, saying it would no longer make or sell the players.

Now, retailers are reaching out to those customers who may feel stuck with the outdated electronics. /ketv.com
